Kauai Holiday - December 16-23, 2006

Our last full day in Hawaii! Fred and Katie went to the North Shore to see Fred's cousin's house, Rick went over the the Hyatt for a massage, Randy read a book at the house and the rest of the gang went to 'Shipwreck Beach' for some boogey boarding, joined by Chris' brother Spence who arrived earlier in the day and, as it turned out, was staying only about half a mile down the road from us. Later on Randy went for a haircut and Rick went to the Mcbryde Garden to check out the tropical plants.

In the afternoon we all sang Chris "Anky Birthday" (his birthday is December 24th). That evening Spence and his family joined us at the house for a  barbecue  dinner. What a great way to end the week!

We woke up around 7, had some breakfast and then packed up all of our luggage. We made a stop for sunblock and gas, then headed to the airport where we said our goodbyes to everyone. Then we boarded our first flight West to our next destination: Palau for a week of diving.

It had been a fantastic week of sun and fun in Kauai. We had a great time with Rick's family, what a fun Christmas vacation!
